About Me
I have been born and raised in the greater Indianapolis area and I currently study philanthropy at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy (LFSOP) with a minor in Medical Sociology at the IU School of Liberal Arts, while pursuing a professional certificate in Fundraising Management at The Fundraising School at LFSOP. I work as the Donor Relations Coordinator at Ivy Tech Community College. In addition, I volunteer as a development assistant for Listen To Our Future, a local education nonprofit that invests in young BIPOC students in Indianapolis improve their educational outcomes.I am passionate about using my degree to work in development and to allocate funds back into marginalized African American communities in Indianapolis. In fact, I have assisted in philanthropic research for Giving USA and sociology research that is concentrated on measuring the potential that the philanthropic sector can contribute to lowering the maternal and infant mortality rates in Indianapolis.
